29 CFR 1910.134(c)(1)(i): The written respiratory protection program did not include procedures for selecting respirators for use in the workplace. ABM- Facility Services: Employees were exposed to health hazards because the employer did not write site-specific procedures for selecting respirators in their respiratory protection program. Some Stationary Engineers are required to wear a respirators while others were provided a respirator for voluntary use.

29 CFR 1910.134(c)(2)(i):If the employer determines that any voluntary respirator use is permissible, the employer shall provide the respirator users with the information contained in Appendix D to this section. ABM- Facility Services: Employees such as Stationary Engineers were provided 3M N-95 for voluntary use. These employees were exposed to health hazards because the Appendix D was not provided which would provide information to the user about the physiological impact of a filtering facepiece respirator.
