29 CFR 1926.59: As referenced by 29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1), at this job site, the employer did not provide employees effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: (Construction Reference: 1926.59) a) Ziegler Blvd/West of David Langan Drive W - Mobile, AL (Maintenance Hole): On or about November 15, 2022, and at times prior; the employer exposed employees to chemical hazards, in that the employer did not train employees on a written hazard communication program to assist employees using hazardous chemicals such as but not limited Quikrete (Portland Cement Based Concrete Product) during construction activities to raise an open maintenance hole to grade level.
