29 CFR 1910.242(a): General requirements. The employer shall be responsible for the safe condition of tools and equipment used by employees, including tools and equipment which may be furnished by employees. On or about November 29, 2022, the employer did not ensure that equipment and appurtenances used to clean frac tanks was rated for the maximum system pressure capacity that can be supplied. This condition exposed employees to struck-by hazards.
