29 CFR 1904.39(a)(2): Within twenty-four (24) hours after the in-patient hospitalization of one or more employees or an employee's amputation or an employee's loss of an eye, as a result of a work-related incident, the employer did not report the in-patient hospitalization, amputation, or loss of an eye to OSHA. On On or about November 14, 2022, at approximately 10:41AM, an employee was pressuring testing a coil and copper pipe for an air conditioning unit when the connection released causing the pipe to strike the employee on the hand and side of their face resulting in a hospitalization on November 14, 2022. The hospitalization was not reported within 24 hours to the local Area Office of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. The Austin Area Office was notified on November 18, 2022 at approximately 2:07PM.
