At the jobsite, employees operating a Pneutools nail gun to install cornice activities without eye and face protection exposing him to the hazard of being struck-by flying objects.  Juan Gutierrez, was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1161114, Citation Number 1, Item number 2, and was affirmed as a final order on October 17, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at  3202 Carrington, Mansfield, Texas 76034.

29 CFR  1926.451(g)(1): Each employee on a scaffold more than 10 feet (3.1 m) above a lower level shall be protected from falling to that lower level. Paragraphs (g)(1)(i) through (vii) of this section establish the types of fall protection to be provided to the employees on each type of scaffold. Paragraph (g)(2) of this section addresses fall protection for scaffold erectors and dismantlers. Note to paragraph (g)(1): The fall protection requirements for employees installing suspension scaffold support systems on floors, roofs, and other elevated surfaces are set forth in subpart M of this part.   On the east side of the construction site, an employee work from a Werner PJ-100 jack scaffold without fall protection systems while installing cornice material on the exterior of a residential home.  The employee was exposed to a fall hazards of approximately 15 feet to the ground below.
