29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii):Point(s) of operation of machinery were not guarded to prevent employee(s) from having any part of their body in the danger zone(s) during operating cycle(s): a) Shear Department: On or about November 11, 2022, and at times prior, employees were exposed to amputation hazards, in that the employer did not effectively guard the point of operation of the small "Canton" 22A shear machine to prevent employees from placing their hands in the danger zone while retrieving scrap from under the shear. b) Shear Department: On or about November 21, 2022, and at times prior, employees were exposed to amputation hazards, in that the employer did not effectively guard the point of operation of the large "Canton" 22A shear machine to prevent employees from placing their hands in the danger zone while retrieving scrap from under the shear.
