29 CFR 1910.178(l)(1)(i): The employer did not ensure that each powered industrial truck operator is competent to operate a powered industrial truck safely, as demonstrated by the successful completion of the training and evaluation specified in this paragraph (l). Sacramento Valley National Cemetery: Employees were exposed to safety hazards because the employer did not ensure that all employees who operate powered industrial trucks were adequately trained in accordance with the requirements of this subpart, including but not limited to 29 CFR 1910.178 (l)(2)(ii) and topics required per 29 CFR 1910.178(l)(3)(G), (J), and(M). There is also no documented evaluations in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.178 (l)(2)(ii) and 29 CFR 1910.178 (l)(6). Employees operate these vehicles without the requisite knowledge to operate them in a safe manner.
