29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a. On or about November 16, 2022, in the stock room, the employer did not provide effective guarding to protect employees from coming in contact with pinch points when required to operate the PTR Baler, Model #3600HDLP, Serial #175247. Employees were thereby exposed to hazards associated with rotating parts and pinch points.
