29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13):"Residential construction." Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system: On or about November 29, 2022, the employer did not ensure that employees who were engaged in residential construction activities were protected from fall hazards. Employees were exposed to falls of approximately 8 feet to the ground below while performing roofing activities. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with 2 CFR 1903.19(d).

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1):The employer shall provide a training program for each employee who might be exposed to fall hazards. The program shall enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and shall train each employee in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards. On or about November 29, 2022, employees engaged in residential roofing activities were not trained to recognize or minimize fall exposures, exposing them to fall hazards of approximately 8 feet to the ground below. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
