29 CFR  1910.22(a)(1): All places of employment, passageways, storerooms, and service rooms were not kept clean and orderly and in a sanitary condition:  a. Colorado Better Kitchens Corp., On November 29, 2022, the employer did not ensure the walking/working area in the production area were free from tripping and slipping hazards, in that electrical cords are not kept in an orderly manner, and waste water was not effectively removed. This condition exposed employees to slip and trip hazards.

The employer did not ensure that the point of operation on the Park Industries Jaguar Block Saw was adequately guarded. This condition exposed employees to laceration and amputation hazards.

29 CFR  1910.303(b)(1)(ii): Electrical equipment was not free from recognized hazards, based on the mechanical strength and durability, including, for parts designed to enclose and protect other equipment, the adequacy of the protection thus provided:  a. Colorado Better Kitchens Corp., On November 29, 2022, the electrical panel box located behind the Jaguar Block Saw in the production area was not protected from damage  in that openings were  not effectively closed  which can let in moisture and dust. This condition exposed the employees to electrical shock hazards.  b. Colorado Better Kitchens Corp., On November 29, 2022, the electrical control box  in the wet production area between the Jaguar Block Saw and the Emmedue Astra Bridge Saw was missing a cover on the front of the machine to enclose the live electrical parts. This condition exposed employees to electrical shock hazards.
