29 CFR 1910.178(m)(5)(i): When a powered industrial truck is left unattended, load engaging means shall be fully lowered, controls shall be neutralized, power shall be shut off, and brakes set. Wheels shall be blocked if the truck is parked on an incline.  a. On or about November 22, 2022, a Raymond 4150/4250 Stand-Up Counterbalanced Forklift (Pacer Unit 908) was parked with a pallet and fork tines raised approximately 12-24 inches above the floor. As a result, employees were exposed to injuries associated with being struck-against the tines and/or tripping and falling over the tines.
