29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1):Each employee engaged in a steel erection activity who is on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet (4.6 m) above a lower level was not protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems, or fall restraint systems. On or about December 5, 2022 the employer Iron Steel Co. Inc. at jobsite located at 33665 Lear Industrial Parkway Avon OH 44011, did not ensure each employee engaged in a steel erection activity who was on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet (4.6 m) above a lower level was protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems, or fall restraint systems. Employees were exposed of falls 25 feet and greater while performing sheet metal roofing activities. Iron Steel Co. Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 1926.760(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1353629, citation number one, item number one and was affirmed as a final order on May 15, 2019, with respect to a workplace located at 1200 12th Street SE in Watford City, North Dakota.
