At a worksite located at 27606 Highway F, Maryville, Missouri. Employees were exposed to serious electrical shock and burn hazards. Employees who were installing a new service line around energized lines were exposed to live electrical parts which were not treated as energized. Employees were exposed to 7.2 kV of electrical current.

29 CFR 1926.960(e)(3): Loose conductors. When lines or equipment are connected to or disconnected from energized circuits, an employee shall keep loose conductors away from exposed energized parts. At a worksite located at 27606 Highway F, Maryville, Missouri. Employees were exposed to serious electrical shock and burn hazards. An employee working on a United Electric Power pole # 047760 from an Altec Model AT40G bucket mounted on a 2015 Dodge 550 Vin # 3C7WRNAJ6FG706000, failed to keep loose conductors away from exposed energized parts. A service line that the employees were installing came into contact with an energized power line. Employees were exposed to 7.2 kV of electrical current.

29 CFR 1926.964(b)(1): Tension stringing method. When lines that employees are installing or removing can contact energized parts, the employer shall use the tension stringing method, barriers, or other equivalent measures to minimize the possibility that conductors and cables the employees are installing or removing will contact energized power lines or equipment. At a worksite located at 27606 Highway F, Maryville, Missouri., Employees were exposed to serious electrical shock and burn hazards. Employees who were working from a utility bucket truck on United Electric Power pole # 047760, did not use the tension stringing method, barriers, or other equivalent measures to minimize the possibility of the service line that the employees were working on to contact Ozarks Electric Cooperatives energized power lines. Employees were exposed to 7.2 kV of electrical current.
