29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee used appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles:  a) On or about December 13, 2022, east side of the building, an employee was using a Dewalt grinder to smooth out rough areas prior to painting and was not wearing safety glasses, exposing himself to eye injury.  No abatement certification or documentation required for this item.

29 CFR  1926.453(b)(2)(v): A body belt was not worn and/or a lanyard was not attached to the boom or basket when working from an aerial lift: Note:  As of January 1, 1998, subpart M of this part (1926.502(d) provides that body belts are not acceptable as part of a personal fall arrest system.  The use of a body belt in a tethering system or in a restraint system is acceptable and is regulated:  a) On or about December 13, 2022, on the east side of the building, one employee was  exposed to an approximately 10 foot fall hazard while painting from the orange JLG and not wearing  personal fall protection.   b) On or about December 13, 2022, on the east side of the building, one employee was exposed to an approximately 6 foot fall hazard while painting from the blue Genie lift and not wearing fall protection.  No abatement certification or documentation required for this item.
