29 CFR 1910.147(d)(2): The machine or equipment was not turned off or shut down using the procedures established for the machine or equipment. An orderly shutdown was not utilized to avoid any additional or increased hazards to employees as a result of the equipment stoppage: a) 103 W. Park Ave, Mount Laurel, NJ - Cell 6, Machine 311 - The employer failed to implement isolating procedures for employees prior to the employee entering the operating envelope of the Thermwood Model 90 CNC Machine, exposing the employees to caught-in-between hazards, on or about December 13, 2022. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
