29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3): Exit route(s) were not kept free and unobstructed: Storeroom: On or about November 17, 2022, employees were exposed to fire hazards from the exit routes not being free and unobstructed: a) The exit route leading toward the Northeast fire exit was obstructed by cardboard barrels, discarded shelving units and merchandise. b) The exit route leading toward the Northeast fire exit in the loading dock staging area was blocked by boxed merchandise. c) The exit route leading toward the Southwest fire exit in the loading dock staging area was blocked by boxed merchandise . Michaels Stores, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3), which was contained in OSHA Inspection Number 1387321, Citation Number 1, Item Number 1 and was affirmed as a Final Order on April 19, 2019, with respect to a workplace located at 75 Interstate Shop Center, Ramsey, NJ 07446.
