OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1) The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees (a) Trimming Area - The Ridgid RS1000 radial arm saw did not have any safety sign instructing employees not to wear gloves while operating the saw, exposing employees to the hazard of getting caught in the saw's rotating blade, on or about November 18, 2022. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and state employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

29 CFR 1910.303(b)(2): Listed or labeled electrical equipment was not used or installed in accordance with instructions included in the listing or labeling: (a) Trimming Area - Employees used receptacles on a Belkin relocatable power tap to power hand-held routers and a circular saw. The UL listing for the relocatable power tap specifies using the device for supplying power to low amperage electronic equipment, exposing employees to an electrical hazard, on or about December 29, 2022. No abatement certification or documentation required.
