In that case, employees may enter the manhole or vault provided the employer protects them from the possible effects of a failure using shields or other devices that are capable of containing the adverse effects of a fault.  a)  On or about December 29, 2022, Employees working in a vault uncovered cables without verifying the absence of energy using a voltage measuring device.  Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard (1926.952(b)), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1446331, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on May 4, 2020, with respect to a workplace located at CR 1536 - near the intersection of TX 101, 3 miles south of Chico, Texas.
