29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): Eye and face protective equipment was not used when machines or operations presented potential eye or face injury: (a) This violation occurred on or about January 5, 2023, at a job site located at 1204 Autumn Mist Lane, Forney, TX, where employees doing roof work on a new residential single-family house and using nail guns were exposed to eye injuries by not wearing eye protection. JUAN LOZANO ARRIAGA WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD 1926.102(A)(1) OR ITS EQUIVALENT WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 1294483, CITATION NUMBER 1, ITEM 1 THAT WAS ISSUED ON FEBRUARY 15, 2018, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT 3601 WEYBURN DRIVE, MANSFIELD, TX, 76063. 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems, nor did the employer demonstrate that it is infeasible or creates a greater hazard to use these systems and develop and implement a fall protection plan which meets the requirements of paragraph (k) of section 1926.502: (a) This violation occurred on or about January 5, 2023, at a job site located at 1204 Autumn Mist Lane, Forney, TX, where employees doing roof work on a new residential single-family house and were exposed fall hazards to the lower level.
