29 CFR 1926.701(b): All protruding reinforcing steel, onto and/or into which employees could fall, was not guarded to eliminate the hazard of impalement: At a worksite located at 311 West 22nd Street Kansas City, MO 64108: Employees were exposed to safety hazards in that they may be exposed to impalement from protruding reinforcing steel. This was demonstrated on or about January 1, 2023, and at times prior to when employees were exposed to unguarded reinforcing steel when employees were jackhammering/chipping on concrete pillars.
