29 CFR 1926.454(b): The employer did not have each employee involved in erecting, disassembling, moving, operating, repairing, maintaining, or inspecting a scaffold trained by a competent person to recognize any hazards associated with the work in question. a) Worksite, 655 Magnolia Blvd, Long Beach NY - Employees were erecting a pump jack scaffold on a two story residential home a residential home when the post of the scaffold came in contact with a 13KV live electrical line. Employees were not trained to recognize the hazards of assembling a scaffold next to live electrical lines ; on or about 1/13/2023. Note: In addition to abatement certification the employer is required to submit abatement documentation for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19.
