29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): (a) Job Site 222 38th Street, Pittsburgh, PA: On or about January 17, 2023, an employee was installing rubber roofing material on a flat roof approximately 25 feet above ground without the use of fall protection. The employee fell resulting in fatal injuries. (b) Job Site 222 38th Street, Pittsburgh, PA: On or about January 17, 2023, an employee was installing roofing material on the upper roof of a townhome without the use of fall protection exposing the employee to an approximate 35-foot fall.
