Employees voluntarily wearing full and half face elastomeric respirators when handling chemical totes were not provided with a medical evaluation or trained on cleaning, storage and maintenance of an elastomeric respirator prior to use. Employees were exposed to hazards associated with cyclohexane, ethylbenzene, citric acid, and sodium hydroxide such as, but not limited to, drowsiness, dizziness, chemical burns, and irritation to the eyes, skin, and respiratory tract.
