Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level shall be protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.  a) Eloin Lopez located at 2175 Riverside Drive, Columbus, OH 43221:  On and preceding January 20, 2023, the employer did not ensure that roofers working at heights exceeding 6 feet utilized fall protection.  Roofers installing materials at the top of a sloped commercial roof were working at heights up to 15 feet at the eave without any form of fall protection thereby exposing employees to falls of 15 feet.
