29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1):One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a. On or about January 25, 2023, an employee was exposed to a struck-by hazard when operating a HEM band saw that was not guarded to protect the operator from the unused portion of the saw blade. b. On or about January 25, 2023, an employee was exposed to a struck-by hazard when operating a Cosen band saw that was not guarded to protect the operator from the unused portion of the saw blade. c. On or about January 25, 2023, an employee was exposed to a caught-by hazard when operating a threading machine that did not have a guard around the rotating head.
