29 CFR 1910.138(a): The employer did not select and require employees to use appropriate hand protection when employees hands were exposed to hazardous condition(s): a) Reverse Osmosis Trailer (a 480-volt electrical cabinet inside the MCC closet): On or about January 24, 2023, employees were required to open a 480-volt live electrical cabinet to verify if a circuit breaker for the faulting water pump was tripped, exposing these employees to electrical hazards, such as arc flash or blast hazards without suitable protective equipment for the hands to protect the employees from injuries.
