Such programs shall provide for frequent and regular inspections of the job sites, materials, and equipment to be made by competent persons designated by the employers. a) On or about February 24, 2023 the employer did not ensure that a program for the frequent and regular inspections of the job site and equipment was being completed by a competent person; to ensure the safety of the jobsite, material and equipment; such as fall protection systems as a result employees were exposed to a fall hazard of 35 ft.

Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected from falling by guardrail systems with toe boards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a) On or about January 24, 2023 the employer did not ensure that employees, performing roofing repair work on a commercial roof top, were protected from falling by a fall protection system. Employees were exposed to a fall hazard from a height of 35 ft. from the ground.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The following training provisions supplement and clarify the requirements of 1926.21 regarding the hazards addressed in Subpart M of this part. Training program. The employer shall provide a training program for each employee who might be exposed to fall hazards. The program shall enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and shall train each employee in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards. a) On or about January 24, 2023, the employer did not ensure that employees conducting roof repairs at a commercial property, were trained on a fall protection systems and on hazards of falls, while working at heights of 35 ft. from the ground.
