29 CFR 1910.134(g)(1)(i)(A): Respirators with tight-fitting facepieces were worn by employees who had facial hair that came between the sealing surface of the facepiece and the face or that interfered with valve function: (Construction Reference 1926.103) (a) Jobsite at 2709 Maple Avenue, Lisle, IL 60532 - On or about January 30, 2023, the employer permitted the use of respirators for employees with facial hair that interfered with the sealing surface of the facepiece. The employer required employees to wear 3M half facepiece respirators with P100 particulate filters to protect against exposure to respirable crystalline silica while grinding and milling concrete floors. Abatement certification is required of this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
