29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. 102 First Ave, Chicopee, MA.: On or about February 1, 2023 two employees were observed working near the roofs edge to install a new gas line and the roof had unprotected sides and edges greater than 11.7 feet above the next lower level and the employees were not protected by either guard rails, safety net systems or personal fall arrest systems exposing them to fall from height hazards.
