29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) On or about January 24, 2023, at an establishment located at 5710 Vits Drive in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, in the clutch plate lines 109 & 110, employees loading ceramic plates into the tray loaders were exposed to unguarded pinch points created between the plate advance mechanism and the ceramic plate stacks. b) On or about January 31, 2023, at an establishment located at 5710 Vits Drive in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, in the clutch plate line 110, employees working between the clutch plate press and the 215 robot were exposed to an ingoing nip point created by an unguarded conveyor belt and pulley.
