While removing the wires, the employee contacted an unknown energized source inside the 208V switchgear. The entire electrical system was not thoroughly metered with instrumentation to determine whether any part of an energized electric power circuit was present in the area where the employee was working. After the accident, it was determined that terminals were energized inside the DPEM switchgear.
