29 CFR  1910.151(c) :Where the eyes or body of any person may be exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body shall be provided within the work area for immediate emergency use. [63 FR 33450, June 18, 1998]  a) On or about February 7, 2023, the employer did not provide suitable eye wash stations in that several 4 ounce sterile eye wash bottles, located near the first aid kits, were not adequate for the 15 minutes of continuous water for eye flushing if an employee comes into contact with corrosive chemicals, such as but not limited to the Clorox Bleach (corrosive) used at the facility.

29 CFR  1910.1200(e)(1): Employers shall develop, implement, and maintain at each workplace, a written hazard communication program which at least describes how the criteria specified in paragraphs (f), (g), and (h) of this section for labels and other forms of warning, safety data sheets, and employee information and training will be met, and which also includes the following:  a) On or about February 7, 2023, Go Fetch Dog Services did not have a written hazard communication program for employees exposed to hazardous chemicals  such as but not limited to Clorox Bleach (corrosive).

29 CFR  1910.1200(g)(1): Chemical manufacturers and importers shall obtain or develop a safety data sheet for each hazardous chemical they produce or import. Employers shall have a safety data sheet in the workplace for each hazardous chemical which they use.  a) On or about February 7, 2023, Go Fetch Dog Services did not ensure that safety data sheets (SDS) for chemicals, such as but not limited to Clorox Bleach (corrosive), were available in the workplace for employees using the bleach to clean the dog areas in the facility.

Information and training may be designed to cover categories of hazards (e.g., flammability, carcinogenicity) or specific chemicals. Chemical-specific information must always be available through labels and safety data sheets.  a) On or about February 7, 2023, the employer did not ensure that employees were trained for the chemicals they were being exposed to, such as but not limited to Clorox Bleach (corrosive), at the facility.
