Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a. On or about 02/08/2023, at the jobsite located at 6256 Ellenton Gillette Road, Palmetto FL 34204, employees were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 9 to 20 feet, in that, fall protection was not used while engaged in roofing activities while standing on the roof.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1):When portable ladders are used for access to an upper landing surface, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladder is used to gain access. a. On or about 02/08/2023, at the jobsite located at 6256 Ellenton Gillette Road, Palmetto FL 34204, employees were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 10 feet, in that, the extension ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladder was used to gain access.
