29 CFR 1910.134(d)(1)(i):The employer did not select and provide an appropriate respirator based on the respiratory hazard(s) to which the worker is exposed and workplace and user factors that affect respirator performance and reliability. On or about January 23, 2023, employees were hand painting golf course items such as yardage plates, hole markers, and staining drinking fountain cabinets, without the proper respirator. The employer failed to provide an organic vapor filter respirator for employees. Abatement certification is required of this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
