29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(4): Ladders were used for purposes other than the purpose for which they were designed:  (a) On or about February 15, 2023, an employee working from the roof of residential structure did not insure a six (6) foot self supporting portable step ladder was used as designed. The six (6) foot step ladder was left in the closed position and leaned against a wall on the east side of the second story while standing on the ladder steps installing siding. This exposed employee to a tip and fall hazard from the ladder onto the roof and/or a 10 foot six (6) inch foot fall to the ground below.
