29 CFR 1926.501(b)(3): Each employee in a hoist area was not protected from falling 6 feet (1.8m) or more to lower levels by guardrail systems or personal fall arrest systems. 25 Bedford St, Portland, Maine- The employer did not ensure that employees were protected from falling approximately 16 feet to the ground. A movable guardrail had been unlatched and moved in order to prepare the area for the hoisting of brick materials onto the Hydro-Mobile Mast Climber. Employees were not wearing proper fall protection in order to ensure that they did not fall over the edge of the platform to the ground below.
