29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1): The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE):  Employees engaged in detailing, operational and housekeeping activities throughout the facility were exposed to chemical hazards in that the employer did not conduct a hazard assessment to determine if hazards are present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Employees were handling Auto Magic Banana Magic premium wax, Auto Magic BC-2 premium wax, Hi-Temp 357 Magnum leveler, Signature Series Propel, Signature Series Raid, Arm & Hammer with OxiClean laundry detergent, and other detailing chemicals without the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). The chemical hazards associated with these chemicals include: skin and eye irritation/burns, dizziness and/or nausea, respiratory tract irritation, severe gastrointestinal damage/irritation, and may cause lung damage if inhaled. Recommended personal protective equipment (PPE) from the safety data sheets (SDS) suggest: safety glasses with side shields (or goggles), nitrile/vinyl gloves,  and body-covering clothing/rubber aprons.

29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use:  Employees engaged in operational activities in the vehicle tunnels of the facility were exposed to corrosive chemical hazards. Employees spraying vehicles with Signature Series Propel and Raid products are not provided suitable facilities for flushing of the eyes in case of accidental eye contact with corrosive chemicals. Furthermore, employees are not required to utilize eye protection while engaged in operational activities.

29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1): Employer had not developed or implemented a written hazard communication program included the requirements outlined in 29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1)(i) and (e)(1)(ii):  Employees engaged in detailing, housekeeping, and operational activities throughout the facility were exposed to chemical hazards in that a written hazard communication program had not been developed, implemented and maintained at the facility. Employees were handling Auto Magic Banana Magic premium wax, Auto Magic BC-2 premium wax, Hi-Temp 357 Magnum leveler, Signature Series Propel, Signature Series Raid, Arm & Hammer with OxiClean laundry detergent, and other detailing chemicals. The chemical hazards associated with these chemicals include: skin and eye irritation/burns, dizziness and/or nausea, respiratory tract irritation, severe gastrointestinal damage/irritation, and may cause lung damage if inhaled. 29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(6)(ii): Except as provided in 29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(7) and 29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(8), the employer did not ensure that each container of hazardous chemicals in the workplace was labeled, tagged or marked with the product identifier and words, pictures, symbols, or combination thereof, which provide at least general information regarding the hazards of the chemicals and which, in conjunction with the other information immediately available to employees under the hazard communication program, would provide employees with the specific information regarding the physical and health hazards of the hazardous chemical.  Employee(s) engaged in detailing activities in the detail bay of the facility were exposed to chemical hazards when using unlabeled chemical containers. Unlabeled secondary squeeze bottles filled with Auto Magic Banana Magic premium wax, Auto Magic BC-2 premium wax, and Hi-Temp 357 Magnum leveler were found on the shop bench in the detail bay. Exposure to these chemicals could result in: skin and eye irritation, dizziness and/or nausea, respiratory tract irritation and may cause lung damage if inhaled. Additionally, Auto Magic Banana Magic and BC-2 premium waxes, can both act as a fueling agents due to their flammability as a liquid.
