29 CFR 1910.157(e)(2):Portable fire extinguishers were not visually inspected at least monthly: (a) Portsmouth Station, 933 Broad Street, Portsmouth, VA: On and around 2/21/2023, and times prior thereto, employees were exposed to fire hazards due to being provided fire extinguishers which had not been visually inspected for over a month. U.S. Postal Service was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR 1910.157(e)(2), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1426876, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 02-14-2020, with respect to a workplace located at 600 Princess Anne Street, Fredericksburg, VA 22401. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
