29 CFR 1926.454(b): The employer did not have each employee who was involved in erecting, disassembling, moving, operating, repairing, maintaining, or inspecting a scaffold trained by a competent person to recognize any hazards associated with the work. On or about February 20, 2023, at the worksite located at 52 Hanover Street, Portland, ME, the employer did not confirm in writing with the competent person for MCR, the specialty scaffolding contractor, that the MCR competent person would train an employee loaned by the employer to MCR, to recognize the hazards associated with removal of a pin component of the MCR Hydro Mobile scaffolding before permitting the employee to perform work on the scaffold.
