The American Steel Products Co. - Toledo, Ohio: On or about February 16, 2023, employees were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 13 feet when working from the cab of the 5-Ton Manning, Maxwell & Moore, Inc. overhead gantry crane. The employer did not ensure the crane cab was equipped with a standard guardrail to protect against falls.   b. The American Steel Products Co. - Toledo, Ohio: On or about February 13, 2023, employees were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 13 feet in when working from the cab of the 20-Ton "riveted construction crane," located in the storage and crane building.  The employer did not ensure the crane cab was equipped with a standard guardrail to protect against falls.   In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification.  This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence, or written records.
