29 CFR 1910.29(b)(3): Guardrail systems are capable of withstanding, without failure, a force of at least 200 pounds (890 N) applied in a downward or outward direction within 2 inches (5 cm) of the top edge, at any point along the top rail; a. On or about February 20, 2023, at the workplace 350 Persimmon Ave, Sanford, FL 32773, the employer did not make sure that guardrails on the 2018 CW Slumpmaster III inspection platform were capable of withstanding a load of at least 200 pounds, resulting on the rail breaking when employee lean on it falling 8 feet 9 inches to the ground below.
