29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(i):Procedures were not developed, documented and utilized for the control of potentially hazardous energy when employees were engaged in activities covered by this section: On or about February 14, 2023 the employer did not ensure that machine specific procedures for Cell #96 (robotic welding cell) were utilized when employees serviced or maintained the equipment. Employees were tasked with tip changes on the equipment which requires entry into the robotic cell area without the hazardous energies isolated. Energies present on the equipment include but are not limited to electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and water.

Equipment included but is not limited to presses, robotic welding cells, and automated welders. Hazardous energies present include but are not limited to pneumatic, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and thermal.

29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i)(A):Authorized employee(s) did not receive training in the recognition of applicable hazardous energy sources, the type and magnitude of the energy available in the workplace, and the methods and means necessary for energy isolation; On or about February 23, 2023 the employer did not ensure that employees tasked with service and maintenance of Cell #96 (robotic welding cell) had received training as authorized employees. Employees who operate the equipment perform tasks that require the isolation of hazardous energies. These energies present include but are not limited to pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, and water.
