29 CFR 1926.20(b)(2):The employer did not initiate and maintain a safety program which provides for frequent and regular inspections of jobsites, materials, and equipment to be made by a competent person who is capable of identifying existing and predictable hazards in the surroundings or working conditions which are unsanitary, hazardous, or dangerous to employees, and who has the authority to take prompt corrective measures to eliminate them: (a)Jans Corporation at 8600 West Shoreline Place, Sioux Falls, SD 57107: On or about and at times prior to February 24, 2023, the controlling employer did not ensure that frequent and regular inspections were conducted by a competent person. A subcontracted employee was performing HVAC operations at the jobsite and suffered an injury after falling more than six feet through particle board and landing into a basement.
