29 CFR  1910.179(l)(3)(ii):  Adjustments shall be maintained to assure correct functioning of components:  (a)  Facility, Stock Bay:  On or about March 1, 2023, the grapple crane in the Stock Bay has the following issues:  1.  It will shut down unexpectedly.  2.  It has dropped its load at least two times when in shut down unexpectedly.  3.  Sometimes the grapple crane will keep going when the control is brought back to neutral.  4.  Its horn does not work sometimes.  5.  Hoist cable stands are constantly breaking and the hoist cable has to be changed about once every week.    (b)  Facility, Stock Bay:  On or about March 1, 2023, the center scrap crane in the Stock Bay has the following issue:  1.  The company is using 3 zip ties to hold up the new timer to the old timer.  This condition has existed for over the last couple of months.    In addition, the company is not recording all monthly crane inspections.
