Such programs shall provide for frequent and regular inspections of the job sites, materials, and equipment to be made by competent persons designated by the employers. a) On or about March 2, 2023, the employer did not ensure that frequent and regular inspections were conducted to ensure that fall protection was available and being used by each employee performing framing work exposed to a fall hazard greater than 19 feet.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1):"Unprotected sides and edges." Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level shall be protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a) On March 2, 2023, five employees were exposed to a fall hazard standing at the roof edge performing framing work, while not utilizing any fall protection system. The potential fall height to the ground was 19 feet.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer shall provide a training program for each employee who might be exposed to fall hazards. The program shall enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and shall train each employee in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards. a) On or about March 2, 2023, employees had not been trained on fall protection systems and on the hazards associated with falls in that employees were not wearing a fall protection system while working at a height greater than 19 feet.
