1926.20(b)(2) Such programs shall provide for frequent and regular inspections of the job sites, materials, and equipment to be made by competent persons designated by the employers. 29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: Location: CNC Milling Area On or about March 6, 2023, a 1986, Mori Seiki MV Junior Milling Machine and two 1988 Mori Seiki MV Junior Milling Machines were not guarded exposing employees to injury from rotating parts and flying chips. Location: Manual Area On or about March 6, 2023, four Delta Drill presses, one Clausing Drill Press, one Langelier Drill Press were not guarded exposing employees to injury from ingoing nip points and rotating parts. On or about March 6, 2023, one Hardinge Manual Lathes were not guarded exposing employees to injuries from rotating parts, flying chips and sparks.
