Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level shall be protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.  a) On or about 03/03/2023, at  the site for the new Quicklee's  convenient store located at 1722 Lake Road, in Hamlin, New York, the employer did not enforce the use of fall protection when employees were preparing the underlayment for roof installation measuring 14 feet above lower levels.  Employees were allowed to work without fall protection and were exposed to fall hazards.  NO ABATEMENT CERITFIICATION REQUIRED
