29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: On March 7, 2023, at 115 31st Street South, Fargo, ND machine guarding was not provided as required. (a) Machine guarding was not provided on the C&C machine where employees could open a guard that was not secured, gaining access to the point of operation in the southwest building. (b) Machine guarding was not provided on the C&C machine where employees could walk between the outfeed of where the doors exit the mill and enter the finish station in the southwest building. (c) Machine guarding was not provided on the router table located in the southwest building.
