29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems:  The employer did not protect each employee from fall hazards while engaged in framing work approximately five stories above the ground by the use of guardrail system, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system.  a) On February 8, 2023, employees engaged in framing work were not protected from fall hazards while working approximately four stories above the ground.   In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.

29 CFR 1926. 1052(c)(1)(i): Stairways having four or more risers or rising more than 30 inches (76 cm), whichever is less, were not equipped with at least one handrail.    a) On February 8, 2023, in order to access and egress the workspace,  employees were utilizing a stairway containing more than four risers and was not equipped with a handrail.
