29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. Monarch Apartment Project: Building 9: On and/or before March 07, 2023, employees accessed and walked the top of the building canopy which had an unprotected edge which was above 6 feet high from the next lower level to install sheet metal flashing. The employees did not use fall protection systems while accessing and moving in the area which potentially exposed the employees to approximately 9.6 foot fall hazards.
